System-Level Overall Equipment Effectiveness for Improving Asset Management Performance: A Case Study Application

چکیده

The discipline of Asset Management (AM), which focuses on the management physical assets in an integrated and holistic way along their life cycle, can be adopted by companies to promote sustainability since it enhances asset reliability availability for whole duration its usage. Within manufacturing industry, a relevant AM-related performance indicator is Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), measures efficiency equipment. However, traditionally OEE individual equipment only, while neglecting system perspective, core AM. Only few contributions propose extension towards system-level indicator. After OEE-related indicators from scientific literature are reviewed, application one them industrial case presented, selected as best fitting characteristics itself, disconnected flow line. allows comparing with traditional OEE. Results show that approach better supports AM information carried out more complete adherent actual characteristics. In turn, perspective assumed just first step improvement required A forward fulfill sustainable integration measurements other sustainability-related impacts leading effective asset-related decisions.
